PAC Membership Information

So you Want to Be a Pool Pirate?
|

- If you're serious about swimming, we've got a place for you...
- All skill levels and experience welcome, as long as you're willing to learn and work hard
- PAC Age Group members range from 5 years old through college age
- PAC Masters members are college students through senior citizens
- Member goals range from fitness/exercise to winning world records and everything in between
- Pick your training days (M - F)
- A regular schedule is expected
- Practice makes perfect: The more you come, the faster you progress
- Participation in USS or USMS sanctioned swim meets is optional
- PAC has no mandatory volunteer or fundraising requirements
- PAC Philosophy:
- Give people the skills & confidence to survive and thrive in an aquatic environment
- Work hard: Mental & physical discipline is the key to life-long health, fitness and success
- Emphasize aerobic conditioning & proper stroke technique
- Make friends & have fun!

Training Groups & Fees
|
- Age Group Elite: M - F, 3:30 - 5:30 PM ($65/month)
- Age Group Intermediate: M - F, 5:30 - 7 PM ($55/month)
- Age Group Novice: M - F, 5:30 - 6:30 PM ($40/month)
- Masters (Adult): Tuesday & Thursday, 6:00 - 7:30 AM ($35/month)
- All swimmers are required to register with either USA Swimming ($55/yr) or US Masters Swimming ($35/yr)

New Swimmer Information
|
- New swimmers may try out with the team the first two weeks of any month
- A two-week no-obligation tryout period is offered; contact a coach on deck to arrange a trial
- After the two-week trial, if a swimmer wishes to continue they must
- Register with USA Swimming ($55/yr) or US Masters Swimming ($35/yr)
- Pay the monthly coaching fee for the approriate group

Other Important Information
|
|
- Fees are invoiced on the 1st and due on or before the 5th of each month.
- Monthly fees must be paid in full if the swimmer participates for one or more days in any month; monthly fees are not prorated!
- Checks should be placed in the "Coaching Fees" folder in the top drawer of the filing cabinet on deck.
- On-line transfer is available for those who bank at LANB. Contact Deb for more information.
